01 · The role
What you would do
- Rewrite CUDA and C++ code as Python with PyTorch and NumPy, matching the original's logic and performance
- Study CUDA kernels and GPU code to understand how they are built and what they do before porting them
- Check AI-generated translations of CUDA and C++ code, then correct them and explain what went wrong
- Rank model responses in RLHF workflows and give clear reasons for each ranking
- Help write realistic test prompts and keep documentation that makes the work reproducible
02 · Requirements
What they ask for
- At least five years of work experience, including three or more years of Python and two or more of CUDA or C++
- Strong Python for scientific computing, especially PyTorch and NumPy
- A solid grasp of CUDA programming, C++ fundamentals and GPU parallelism, and the ability to reproduce a CUDA kernel's behavior in Python
- Careful debugging, with close attention to numerical consistency across languages
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Pass Turing's evaluation: two interviews, about 75 minutes in all, made up of a 60-minute technical round and a 15-minute talk about culture and the offer
Helpful, not required
- Experience reviewing AI-generated code or helping tune LLMs
- Python
- CUDA
- C++
- PyTorch
- NumPy
- RLHF

Open in Africa
Open to applicants in Africa, as far as the listing and Turing's country rules show. Turing in Africa
Apply from where you live, as yourself. Using a VPN or someone else's identity to get around a country rule breaks these platforms' terms, and it is the quickest way to lose an account and any unpaid earnings.

How to get in
You apply through Turing's own process. The steps from sign-up to first paid task are on its profile.
- How to pass AI training assessments: what the assessment checks, and how to prepare.
- Getting paid from Africa: PayPal, Payoneer, Airtm, Wise and more. It covers which of Turing's payout routes work where you live, and what they cost.

About this listing
We last confirmed this opening on Oct 31, 2026. Rates and hours come from the listing unless the note beside the rate says otherwise. Where the listing names no countries, the Africa status is our reading of it and of what is known of Turing's country rules, set out on its profile, and never marks a role more open than they show. The listing itself has the final word.
