Why ASV

Every frontier model is shaped by people. Writers rank its answers, engineers grade its code, doctors and lawyers check its judgment. For specialists it can pay well, but much of it is hard to find. ASV is where you find it.

04How it works

From application to first payout.

ASV does the reading so you can do the applying. Three steps, the same on every platform.

  1. Step 01

    Choose

Browse open roles with their rates, and compare the platforms behind them on pay, how hard they are to get into, and how they pay out.

  2. Step 02

    Qualify

Assessments decide who gets in. Our guides cover what each one tests, and the mistakes that sink most applicants.

  3. Step 03

    Get paid

Work the hours each platform allows, from wherever it accepts you. We map which payout routes reach Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa and beyond.

ASV Projects

Paid work, run by ASV.

Alongside the platforms, ASV runs its own projects: structured technical tasks (software, task authoring, rubrics) claimed in the open and paid directly. See who else is working, earn points, and climb a public leaderboard.

06Questions

Before you apply.

Straight answers on how ASV works. More in support.

Is ASV a job platform?

No. ASV is an independent hub: we list open roles and profile the platforms that hire for AI training work, then send you to them to apply. Your contract, your work and your pay are always with the platform itself. The one exception is ASV Projects: in-house work we run and pay for directly.

Where do the job listings come from?

From each platform's own job pages, the hiring boards it uses, such as Greenhouse, Lever and Workable, and job sites that repost its listings; each opening's page names its source. Every opening shows its rate as the listing gives it, or says when it gives none, who can apply, and the day we last confirmed it was open. Openings unchecked for three weeks are flagged, and after two months they leave the board. You always apply on the platform itself.

Does it cost anything?

Nothing. ASV is free, and no legitimate AI training platform charges you to apply or to work. Anyone asking for a fee to get you a gig is running a scam. How to spot one.

How do the referral links work?

Where we have a referral link, Apply uses it. Otherwise a platform's Apply button opens its public sign-up page, and an opening's Apply button opens the listing itself. If you are accepted through a referral link, the platform may pay ASV a bonus. It never comes out of your pay, and it never decides which platforms we cover or what we say about them. Read the disclosure.

Can I apply from Nigeria, Kenya or elsewhere in Africa?

Sometimes. As of October 2026, micro1 accepted applicants from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa and Egypt, and OneForma opens projects there language by language; Mercor covered all of those except Kenya, Outlier only Egypt and South Africa, and several others are closed or unconfirmed. Every profile sets out what we know. Never use a VPN or someone else's identity to get around a country restriction: it is the fastest way to lose an account and any unpaid earnings.

How much can I earn?

It depends on the platform, the project, your expertise and where you live. Generalist work pays less than specialist work, and engineers and domain experts command the highest rates. Each profile shows the ranges we can source.

Which platform should I start with?

Apply to two or three that fit your background, so one quiet project never leaves you idle. Compare the big four.
