What you would do
- Build difficult data-science problems used to evaluate AI models
- Write correct reference solutions, such as Python or R scripts and SQL queries, that model answers are scored against
- Check AI-written code that uses libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch and TensorFlow for correctness, efficiency and good practice
- Point out flawed reasoning in AI answers, such as data leakage or overfitting, and give structured feedback

- A master's or PhD, completed or in progress, in data science, statistics, computer science or another quantitative field
- Solid grounding in areas such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, big-data tools like Spark or Hadoop, or NLP
- Clear written explanations of complex statistical and algorithmic ideas
- Close attention to detail when checking code, notation and statistical conclusions
- Availability for 10–40 hours a week
Helpful, not required
- Earlier work labeling data, reviewing data quality or evaluating AI
- Knowledge of how models run in production, such as MLOps or CI/CD pipelines for deployment
