What you would do
- Design engineering problems in areas such as finite element analysis, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid dynamics and materials
- Write worked, step-by-step reference solutions that AI models are evaluated against
- Review AI-generated technical content for accuracy, safety and compliance with standards such as ASME and ISO
- Document reasoning errors, such as wrong force distributions or broken energy conservation, and give structured feedback

- A master's or PhD, completed or in progress, in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a closely related field
- A strong foundation in areas such as solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM or manufacturing processes
- Clear technical writing and careful checking of derivations, unit conversions and physical constraints
- Availability for 10–40 hours a week
Helpful, not required
- Experience with data annotation or AI evaluation work
- Familiarity with tools such as SolidWorks, MATLAB or ANSYS
- Experience writing or reviewing technical documentation to industry standards
