What you would do
- Review system requirements, interfaces, integration plans, verification strategies, test procedures and reliability analyses
- Judge whether proposed engineering solutions, test strategies and troubleshooting approaches are correct and workable
- Trace integration failures to root causes, interface problems, design flaws and gaps in test coverage
- Write or review rigorous engineering problems with reference solutions, test cases and verification criteria
- Give clear technical feedback drawn from real hardware development and production work
02 · Requirements
What they ask for
- Five or more years in systems, integration, reliability or test engineering, at least three of them recent and hands-on
- Experience as the responsible engineer for complex hardware products, from requirements through integration, qualification and field support
- Deep expertise in at least one of: systems engineering and V&V, hardware integration and test, reliability and failure analysis, or manufacturing test
- Hands-on work instrumenting, testing and debugging physical hardware with lab equipment, data acquisition and automated test systems
Helpful, not required
- Experience at a company that designs, builds and tests complex hardware, for example in aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, consumer electronics, robotics, energy or medical devices

Who can apply
Remote. The listing does not name eligible countries, so Mercor's own rules decide: it can only onboard people in countries its payments support, which in October 2026 included Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Egypt but not Kenya.
